What do you give the CEO of Aston Martin as a gift? Well, Chinese Olympic Eventer, Alex Hua Tian chose to present Dr Andy Palmer with one of my Limited Edition prints of his Olympic horse, The Don, on becoming part of the Aston Martin family recently as “Brand Friend”.
I photographed The Don at Alex’s yard in the UK a few months prior to the Rio Olympics. The Don had just returned from a week’s equine aqua therapy and was looking extremely athletic! Initially a little apprehensive on seeing me and my flash lighting kit in the arena, The Don very quickly settled and stood perfectly square for his fine art photographic studies – he didn’t seem to mind me photographing him from the rear at all.
I was delighted when Alex and The Don achieved 8th place at the Rio Olympics and so it seemed only fitting to release a Limited Edition fine art study of The Don to commemorate their success!
